Although, completely effective and inexpensive (I like inexpensive).. It could cause more problems than if you didn't depending on why you take the car to them. Putting a conzult on it to find out why it runs so bad would show a MAS failure and they'd check that, then probably want to charge you $400 for a brand new OEM unit that wouldn't fix the problem.. Then when they call you and find out you circumvented their ability to 'take it for a spin', they would lose respect (not that they have any to start with, but it turns from a regular job to a 'that sorry bastard thinks he's smart') then it turns into an Ashbashing lookalike when the mechanics think, "I'll show that fucker". Probably loosen a few critical bolts here and there and next thing you know you've left your tranny back in Kansas.. There is no place like home, especially if it has tools and a garage. :) DIYGDS (do it your god damn self) :-) That's my mechanic rant BTW, I love bashing greasemonkeys.. (please note, DISCLAIMER: I am not saying that every person that works on cars for a living is a greasemonkey or falls way short of actually knowing what they are doing, its just I have a very bad view of them from my own experience and other's complaints). Kyle, you rock bro. ;-) But I think Russell and the guys are gonna have you upstaged in the engine building department. ;-) What's on your drawing board? Want a Zemulator? I need people who know what the f*** they are doing to take it for a run.
